Creating an Emergency Preparedness Plan
The Child Care Emergency Response Resource Handbook is available through the Lancaster County Emergency Management and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department Child Care Health Program.
Nebraska Extension offers in-service training to assist childcare providers and afterschool programs in developing an emergency preparedness plan. Please contact Jaclynn Foged or Lynn DeVries for more information.
The following resources are provided by Child Care Aware® of America. Child Care Aware® of America and Sesame Street Communities have several webinars related to emergency preparedness. Each webinar will have handouts, tips, and resources for preparation for, response to, and recovery from a natural disaster or emergency event. All of the webinars and resources are FREE.
